Lofts at LaVilla

Ms. Hazel and Ms. Dani (the managers) are great! They truly care about their residents and treat them like family. I had trouble with Jax Housing Authority processing my voucher, but Ms. Hazel was patient and flexible as we worked through the issues, even holding the unit for me for two weeks. No other place would have done this. The property is also well kept and the maintenance staff extremely helpful and skilled. Highly recommend this property!!

The location is perfect. Close to everything and easy to get to every side of town. The building is well maintained, the residents are so polite, and Rebekah in the leasing office is awesome about being available, informing, and engaging with residents. She’s even called me when I missed the resident email so I could move my car from near where they were repainting outside so I wouldn’t get any splashes on my baby. I love it here.

I am absolutely disgusted with this place. I just moved out because the cons is out weighing the pros at lavilla. The walls are paper thin so if your neighbor is blasting music, you will hear everything. I tried to file a complaint several times when Rebekah was here AND with Hazel because it would be 1AM and my neighbor was blasting music but nothing was done. Hazel called me a liar and stated it’s not my neighbor lol. Then she said to call the courtesy officer - I did several times but he’s a ghost. That’s all Hazel could say because she didn’t want to deal with it. The living conditions here is a mess. DONT WASTE YOUR MONEY. But I’m more disgusted on how Hazel treated me and how inhumane she is. I NEVER approached her but when she was the only one in the office, Hazel always belittled me and she lacks professionalism. Do yourself a favor and go where your money is worth. Dani seems to not know what’s going on when asked a question. Hazel is a bossy lady with a terrible attitude. Yes, these these are income restricted apartments and you get what you pay for.. the question is will you accept people smoking on the steps, trash in the halls and a elevator that’s reeks of dog urine…….also paper thin walls.. the list goes on… moving out was my best decision.

I have the upmost respect for my office staff. Many of those who complain are people who aren't abiding by these rules. We are given contracts letting us know what we can and cannot do. The staff is responsible for making sure that we adhere to the rules that protects us, our family and neighbors. Of course we have those who want to find ways around following the process and then try bullying their neighbors and the office staff! Ms. Hazel and Ms. Dani have been very faithful and very frank, reminding all of us about the terms of our living arrangements. Lofts at Lavilla is an income restricted apartment building; yes, that means more red tape and more responsibly on our parts. No, it doesn't work the same as a regular apartment complex. If you're looking for champaign and caviar dreams...BUY YOUR OWN HOME OR LEAVE LOFTS AT LAVILLA!!! Stop crying because you want to find a way to not follow the rules! This is place is trash and a joke. It's crazy how 9 months ago I gave this place 5 stars. Once Rebecca left, the management team went to trash. Dani is a push over and Hazel is a bossy lady with a terrible attitude. THEY NEED TO GET RID OF THE BOTH OF THEM ASAP. Their parking policy is a joke. The maintenance team is more professional than the management team AND IT'S SAD. This place used to be absolutely beautiful.....
